Hi there! I was drawn to your blog after I found an image of your "OSU Orange" KitchenAid. Had to do more investigation if it is Oregon or Oklahoma...happy to see you are a fellow Cowboy! I'm dying to receive my very own OSU Orange KitchenAid mixer someday! Fun blog! Might have to try out this frito chili pie...but put it in a mini bag of fritos like the old snack stand days!

I dipped them just holding them (you can use tongs) and I did not double dip.

You just have to do what works for you.

I'm planning on doing this as well, and I'm trying to avoid doing the cookie-pop style ones with the sticks..but I don't know how to dip them without the stick! Also, did you dip a couple of times? The chocolate coating looks very thick on yours
