Little Goat

At 820 West Randolph, this new restaurant from Stephanie Izard of Girl and The Goat, is out of the ordinary and perfectly suited to the neighborhood and the local vibe. In fact, the minute I stepped out of the cab, I instantly felt like a local.

The Parathas Burrito was a tasty mix of Indian flatbread, eggs, avocado-bean salad and chili pepper sauce.

Vintage everything including the napkin holders. Put a penny in and pull out a fortune.

Fat Bread (made with smoked duck fat, pickled mustard seed and beer) and the Little Goat brew (from Haymarket Brewery) made this spot a want-to- be hangout on any given Saturday AM…or any day for that matter.

This was breakfast at its best and it made me wonder if I would ever go back to eating an ordinary breakfast again.

Bon Appetit!
