I made cricket bread with their bakers 3 weeks ago and tasted it twice before today. I decided the first time around it was a good choice; I like the taste and the health benefits are almost too many to count.
Some of our favorite dishes on the menu include the Gazpacho; the best in SMA and the perfect starter to a meal made from all fresh vegetables. The green salad with pickled cucumbers had the best mustard dressing; it was definitely my favorite dish. Finally, the new Soft Berry and Acai Ice Cream. Unsweetened acai is normally tart and earthy but this ice cream was beautifully soft and creamy and so healthy. It’s also high in antioxidants and has many health benefits. Cumpanio also makes it in vanilla. The cricket sandwich is now on the menu and is made with Spinach, Tomato, Pesto, Fresh Cheese, Avocado and crafted with long-fermented sourdough enriched with cricket flour; an ancestral Mexican superfood rich in protein, B12, and minerals. It’s nourishing, sustainable, and beautifully bold.
