Saturday Market

I found a terrific French chef in the middle of San Miguel’s Saturday market. I was in heaven because after two weeks, I was craving something at least reasonably French.

Chef Isabelle Ortega hooked me on her quiche – it was light and delicious - but reeled me in with her pear dessert. I’m hoping to convince Isabelle to take me on for a dessert lesson when she returns from France next month.

No matter where you are - even in the middle of a market in central Mexico - you’ll always find someone to remind you that nobody does cuisine better than the French!
