Evanston's first Food Truck Festival was held on Sunday, June 26th with the Hummingbird Kitchen, Flirty Cupcakes and 5411 Empanada trucks participating.
It was held in Grey Park from 11-2 and had a respectable first year turn out. Think this would be a growing draw as an every Sunday event in the summer.
I loved 5411 Empanada’s food and
the price – at $2 each – was a budget buy.
Although Flirty Cupcakes are a little pricy, they are so worth it.
I had the lemon and savored every bite.
Look for more about food trucks in Evanston since they passed their bill last fall.
Will Chicago ever catch up?
