Ok
– so the minute I heard the sizzle from my frying pan I knew I was back in
business. Well, sort of. I just haven’t lit the oven yet.
Believe
me, stovetop cooking is not all it’s cracked up to be. Try turning a Mexican
gas burner down to low. It does not recognize low as a legitimate setting
because absolutely everything will overcook. In fact, I’m learning how to cook
all over again.
As
my Yoga instructor told me today, breathe…just breathe. And so I do and
continue to patiently await the ceremonial lighting of my oven on Thursday.
It’s a finicky business that
even I don’t have the guts to try on my own.
Got
to love the simple things in life that are just a bit more complicated here.
